Background
I am the Principal for Spinal Cord Injury here at Minster Law, and an Associate Solicitor in catastrophic injury. I specialise in supporting both adults and children who have sustained traumatic brain injuries and/or spinal cord injuries, or other life changing injuries including amputations. I am experienced in guiding my clients through complex litigation, at what is often one of the most vulnerable times of their lives.
What are you most passionate about in your job?
My ethos centres around working closely with my clients to properly understand their needs and wishes, and to deliver the outcomes that work for them. Rehabilitation is key to maximising independence and restoring quality of life. I am passionate about working with my clients and their families to understand what rebuilding a meaningful life looks like for them, and then helping them to do that. I am experienced in obtaining early interim payments which allow multi-disciplinary rehabilitation to be implemented, and then working alongside the rehab teams to best support my clients as their litigation unfolds. I am known for my excellent client care, and ability to build relationships with my clients and their families.
What are your personal interests outside of work?
Time outside of work is spent with my husband and our two beautiful girls, usually hiking in the Peak District close to where we live or having adventures travelling to our favourite places such as the beaches in Northumberland. I am very fortunate to have lots of lovely friends who I enjoy spending time with, and I also love to read, cook and bake.
