Background
I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives with a background in Defendant RTA Personal Injury cases, originally dealing with all aspects of non-litigated and litigated claims for a major UK insurer for over 15 years. I have worked at Minster Law since March 2009 during which time I have worked on all manner of personal injury cases, some of which were settled for in excess of £1m involving amputation, brain and spinal injury, chronic pain and multiple fractures.
What are you most passionate about in your job?
Helping those in need after an accident. I take a great deal of satisfaction from getting the injured person get the financial and rehabilitative help that they and their family need to help minimise the impact that serious accidents have on claimants and their loved ones. This will involve visiting the client and their family at home to build an early rapport and create the trust that’s needed in such cases. I advise my clients in a straight-forward manner and always set expectations that I can deliver. I work along side case managers and have a good working relationship with many junior and senior barristers to ensure that I deliver the best client care and ultimately the best settlement that I possibly can.
What are your personal interests outside of work?
I played rugby league from childhood to the age of around 35, during which I suffered serious injuries to my knees and back. Because of the extent of rehabilitation that I’ve had, in particular to my knees, I can fully appreciate the difficulties that my clients have following serious injury. I hold a full motorcycle licence and have toured the UK on my bike on a several occasions. I’m looking forward to touring Germany and Italy in the near future.
