Background
I am experienced in serious personal injury cases, having worked in various roles around the serious and catastrophic injury departments since I moved to Minster Law in 2020. Prior to my employment with Minster Law and since 2014, I worked for both high street and national law firms in roles related to personal injury. I qualified as a solicitor in 2022 having completed my training contract and immediately accepted a role in our Serious Injury team. I specialise in significant orthopaedic injuries including multi-site fractures and psychological conditions. Many of the accidents I deal with are road traffic collisions, particularly involving motorcyclists. I am seconded to the Association of Consumer Support Organisations (ACSO) of which Minster Law is a founding member. As part of my secondment, I assist the civil justice trade body to educate, collaborate and lobby government to better the civil justice sector for all consumers, which inevitably includes my clients.
What are you most passionate about in your job?
I am particularly passionate about connecting with my clients, understanding their injuries and concerns, and helping them to maximise their recovery while making what is a difficult legal process as easy as possible. Often, the injuries my clients have suffered are life changing, sometimes in the short term but often in the long term too. It is rewarding to help them out of adversity and to achieve a great outcome. At Minster Law, I am fortunate enough to work with an exceptional group of colleagues with an inspiring commitment to client service and an impressive expertise in their respective fields. I am never far from an expert with an answer to any query, no matter how obscure.
What are your personal interests outside of work?
I spend much of my spare time with my family, enjoying a quiet beer to relax. We have most recently, like many others, taken to ‘staycations’ and I particularly love to spend time in the Lake District, Northumberland and Cornwall. I also enjoy watching and playing football, reading and live music.
Dan was very quick to introduce himself to me by means of a phone call, his correspondence was always polite prompt and professional, he was always without bias and informed me of all my options and available/possible outcomes, nothing was a problem for him and he even put up with my inability to do simple tech tasks such as uploading information. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Daniel Bates and thank him for his assistance in seeing my case to completion and wish him all the success for the future.
