Investors in People

When you join the team here at Minster Law, you will be joining a company that has been rated platinum for its investment in people.

We invest in people

Investors in People makes people management excellence count. They exist to help businesses realise the potential of their people, improve standards and gain the accreditation to prove it.

People-centred culture

Our principles, policies and practices around supporting our people are embedded in every corner of our organisation. Everyone knows they have a part to play in Minster Law's success, and is always looking for ways to improve.

Excelling standards

Platinum is IIP’s highest tier, and only 9% of accredited organisations worldwide have reached this standard.

“The assessment confirmed what colleagues tell us every day: we have a strong, people‑centred culture, trusted leadership and a clear sense of purpose that genuinely connects people to their work. But Platinum isn’t a finish line.

Our focus now is on growing well. That means embedding our culture consistently as we scale — not just at onboarding, but throughout a colleague’s journey. It means investing in strong leadership, supporting and developing our colleagues to be their best and creating more space for people to influence decisions locally and feel trusted, even when work is busy.

Platinum accreditation gives us confidence in our foundations. The work ahead is about momentum, not maintenance.” Shirley Woolham, CEO at Minster Law

Our Platinum Standard

At Minster Law, our people are at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we’re incredibly proud to have achieved Investors in People (IIP) Platinum accreditation for the third consecutive assessment cycle—a recognition that places us among the very best people‑centred organisations, not just in the UK, but globally.

A commitment recognised at the highest Level

We first achieved Platinum status in 2020 on our initial assessment—an achievement held by only a small percentage of organisations worldwide. Six years on, we continue to operate at this highest level, with our latest reaccreditation extending our Platinum standing for a further three years.

Platinum is IIP’s highest tier, and only around 9% of accredited organisations worldwide reach this standard. It reflects consistently exceptional performance in leadership, culture, colleague experience and continuous improvement.

A strong, people‑centred culture

In our most recent assessment, Investors in People praised Minster Law for sustaining a strong and values‑driven culture, even through periods of organisational growth, regulatory change, and wider external pressures.

Colleagues described our shared purpose – creating outcomes that matter – as a powerful “golden thread” that runs through the entire business. Our values are deeply understood and genuinely lived in everyday actions, decisions and behaviours, creating a strong sense of pride in what we stand for and how we work together.

Trusted leadership at every level

The assessors highlighted strong trust and confidence in our leadership. Our focus on openness, authenticity, and doing the right thing has built strong leadership capability across all levels of the organisation. Positive relationships and a collaborative mindset help us support one another, adapt together, and continue to thrive.

A learning and coaching organisation

Minster Law was also recognised for being a workplace where learning is embedded and development is championed. We offer a mix of in‑house programmes, external qualifications and a strong coaching culture, ensuring colleagues feel supported in demanding roles and able to grow throughout their career with us.

A genuine voice for colleagues

Feedback from colleagues continues to shape decisions across Minster Law. IIP commended our ongoing commitment to empowering people, amplifying the colleague voice, and keeping our culture strong and consistent as we continue to grow.

We foster a workplace built on openness, trust and mutual respect—values co‑created with our colleagues and embedded in the way we work every day. Everyone at Minster Law has the opportunity to be heard and to influence meaningful change for our colleagues, customers, partners and communities.
