Minster Law has been re-awarded platinum accreditation by Investors in People (IIP) for the next three years.
Minster Law first achieved Platinum accreditation in 2019 at our first attempt, and retained it after a lengthy assessment process involving the majority of 500+ colleagues.
Over 50,000 companies have been assessed by IIP in over 66 countries, with only 5% achieving platinum level, the highest accolade to be awarded. Minster Law believes it is the only claimant law firm in the UK to achieve platinum status.
Investors in People is the international standard for people management, defining what it takes to lead, support, and manage people effectively to achieve sustainable results.
Commenting on the award, CEO Shirley Woolham said: “Retaining Platinum through continuous improvement is an even greater challenge than winning it the first time around.”
“The fact that we have done so stands as a testament to our hard work and the support we provide to each other in making Minster a great place to work.”
She noted: “IIP highlighted our strong and visible strategy and objectives to succession planning, the positive values that underline our talent mapping, our colleague-led equality, diversity and inclusion approach and flexible working practices.”
In its report, IIP said: ‘There is a ‘warmth’ to [Minster’s] organisational culture, which doesn’t grow by accident and is derived from a lot of hard work across all of your people management practices. When your people talk about Minster Law, there’s a sense of pride and a camaraderie that is audible in their choice of words and their open support for the business and each other.’
Shirley said: “My thanks go to all my Minster colleagues for their contribution and dedication, during the uncertain times in which we live and work. Being awarded Platinum status is a wonderful Christmas present for our business and a great way to end the year.”
