Minster Law is breaking down the barriers to a career in law with the launch of a new Solicitor Apprenticeship Programme designed to provide the experience and qualifications needed to become an expert solicitor in today’s legal industry.
Not only is the programme an opportunity for real, hands-on learning alongside some of the country’s leading experts, but you won’t need to have done a law degree to do it – we’ll pay you, as you learn.
There are two bespoke learning opportunities to suit you, whether you’re a university graduate, a school or college leaver, or have no legal experience at all.
You’ll gain insight into a variety of departments and areas of law, including personal injury and employment, allowing you to develop the skills needed to become a well-rounded solicitor through either a 3 or 6-year programme.
Along the way, you’ll receive support from a dedicated team, with coaching to help you achieve your career goals.
As well as access to incredible learning opportunities you will get to take advantage of a number of great benefits as a Minster Law employee. Throughout the year we offer a range of different social events, from family fun days to an annual awards ball. You are also able to give back to the local community with volunteering days and a whole range of fun fundraising activities.
But don’t just take our word for it, Matthew Itson started his training contract with Minster Law in 2017 and is now a member of our Serious Injury team.
“The training contract gave me an opportunity to work in different areas of law, but I also got experience outside of law, picking up business skills and commercial awareness that makes me a better solicitor now,” he said.
During his training Matthew was able to take part in charity events, career fairs, new business tenders and meetings with senior managers and executives.
“My favourite part of the experience was working with my fellow trainees, the shared experience made us life-long friends, and this will continue as we advance in our careers.”
