Background
I attended the University of Central England obtaining a BA in Law and Politics before taking a year off travelling. I completed the Legal Practice Course at Manchester University and, whilst undertaking my training contract, completed a Masters Degree in Sports Law. Upon qualifying, I worked at a local law firm in Leeds for two years before moving to a national firm, where I became an associate solicitor. I moved to the Catastrophic Injury Team at Minster Law in 2012.
What are you most passionate about in your job?
I understand the effect that life-changing injuries have upon clients and I enjoy making a difference to their life, understanding the need for early access to rehabilitation and treatment whilst offering the injured party and their families much-needed support. I thrive on the challenge posed by the litigation process and the need to be part of the client’s journey from the outset to settlement. I want to make a real difference to someone’s quality of life and obtaining justice. I am privileged to act on behalf of the injured party and be part of their life trying to help them get back to normality as much as they can.
What are your personal interests outside of work?
I love spending time with my family and going on day trips and weekends away. Outside of work, I am a keen runner – I am a qualified coach in running fitness and a running coach for Tadcaster Harriers, as well as the appointed welfare officer. I am also a qualified leader for blind/partially sighted runners. I have just completed my 14th marathon. I am an avid sports fan and a long-suffering Stockport County supporter.
“A hugely experienced senior solicitor. Deals with very high value serious injury claims. Andrew excels in serious pain cases and brain injury claims including with loss of capacity. Clients adore him and he adopts a collaborative approach with the Defendant.”
