Top 40 law firm recruits new team, dedicated to managing multi-track and catastrophic legal cases
Yorkshire-based Minster Law, one of the UK’s top 40 law firms, has today announced its expansion into London, with the launch of a new city-based team. This latest news follows the business’ acquisition by the BGL Group earlier this year, under the industry’s largest Alternative Business Structure (ABS) licence. The new office forms part of Minster’s growth drive to become a market leader in multi-track and catastrophic personal injury.
The new 30-strong team includes high calibre, specialist, qualified solicitors and legal assistants and allows Minster to have a more effective geographical reach, enhancing the service it offers southern-based clients. Formed in 2006, Minster Law is one of the largest personal injury practices in the UK. Employing over 800 people in York and Wakefield – and handling more than 40,000 personal injury claims in the last financial year – Minster Law offers help and advice in a range of legal areas including personal injury, employment, wills and probate.
Stuart Ramsey, Managing Director at Minster Law, said: “This is a key milestone in the growth of Minster Law and further enhances our strategy to become a market leading multi-track and catastrophic personal injury firm. The new site demonstrates our commitment to further expansion and our ability to support clients and business partners.”
Stuart continued: “We are dedicated to exemplary client care and opening a London office enables us to be closer to our vulnerable clients in the South of England. Our serious cases can last for several years, so increasing our face to face contact and support will be invaluable to our clients. The new office also allows Minster to recruit from the London legal market, attracting some of the city’s best talent.”
David Downie, Group Director, Legal Services for BGL added: “The opening of a new London-based office is a further signal that BGL is committed to investing in our Legal Services business. In addition, we are planning continued recruitment across all of our Minster Law sites in 2014 – alongside further exciting developments in our plans to define and lead the consumer legal services market.”
