Recently our Minster Law colleagues organised a variety of fundraising activities in support of Headway’s Brain Injury Week. Activities included a talk from brain injury survivor, Shane Booth, a bake sale, static bike challenge, in-house training and a visit from Tobii Dynavox to show us their cutting-edge technology. Over the week the team managed to raise over £1200.
Headway are a UK charity dedicated to promoting understanding of all aspects of brain injuries and provide information, support and services to survivors, their families and carers. Minster Law wanted to support Headway as our Serious Injury team work with many clients who have suffered traumatic brain injuries following an accident.
Nicola Kehoe, one of Litigation Executives who was involved in organising the events said: “It’s wonderful to work for a firm that is passionate about raising awareness about important causes such as brain injuries and raising vital funds to support the excellent work in our local community at Headway.”
The funds raised will help support Headway in being able to raise awareness and understanding and support the work they do to assist people with brain injuries.
Anna, Corporate Partnership Officer at Headway said, “We are extremely grateful to all at Minster Law for supporting Headway during Action for Brain Injury Week 2019.”
“It has been fantastic to see such incredible efforts to raise funds for Headway and help to raise awareness of our Brain Drain: Wake up to fatigue campaign. The firm’s cake making skills and cycle challenge miles were particularly impressive!
“The funds raised by Minster Law will be invaluable to help Headway support families across the UK whose lives have been affected by brain injury. On behalf of Headway, I would like to give a huge thank you to all involved.”
The fundraising initiative is part of Minster Law’s new Corporate Social Responsibility Programme, which is dedicated to supporting the local community, this ranges from sharing knowledge and skills with local schools and business to helping local charities through various fundraising efforts.
