Minster Law has partnered with the Major Trauma Signposting Partnership (MTSP) to provide vital support for children and their families affected by traumatic injuries at Sheffield Children’s Hospital. This new partnership combines Minster Law’s expertise in serious injury claims with MTSP’s holistic advisory services, ensuring families receive comprehensive support during recovery.
Under this partnership, a dedicated specialist advisor from MTSP, alongside a Citizens Advice representative, will work with children and families to address a wide range of needs, from legal guidance to rehabilitation support. As one of only two firms appointed to the MTSP legal panel, Minster Law will help these young patients with their recovery and well-being through tailored, compassionate support.
Minster Law’s partnership with MTSP ensures that families in the care of Sheffield Children’s Hospital have direct access to legal support and comprehensive resources following injuries from road traffic accidents, falls, sports incidents, and more. The partnership will be led by Stacy Clements, Partner, and the experienced legal team including Matthew Nash, and Daniel Bates, who are equipped to handle the unique and complex needs of paediatric trauma cases, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury and amputations. Together, the team will focus on early intervention and specialised rehabilitation to maximise the potential for recovery.
Andrew Pemberton, Managing Director at MTSP, said: “The MTSP takes great care in selecting our legal panel for each of the major-trauma centres where we support patients. Minster Law has demonstrated a deep understanding of the needs of families facing trauma, and their experienced, locally based team will be available to provide immediate support. We look forward to working with Minster Law in making the MTSP a success.”
Holly Newton-Steele, Corporate Partnerships Officer at The Children’s Hospital Charity, said “The Children’s Hospital Charity are thrilled to partner with Minster Law. We are celebrating the 20th anniversary of our Snowflake Appeal this year, and we’re so excited that they are marking the occasion with us. Our work is only made possible thanks to generous supporters like Minster Law and we can’t wait to see where our partnership takes us.”
Stacy Clements, Partner at Minster Law, said “We are honoured to be working as part of the MTSP legal panel, supporting children receiving care at the world-class Sheffield Children’s Hospital. It is a privilege to be part of the journey of children and their families following what may be one of the most traumatic events in their live, and to make a difference for them. Our goal is to address the unique challenges these families face and provide compassionate, tailored support.”
Beyond legal services, Minster Law is also a proud charity partner of The Children’s Hospital Charity, actively fundraising for their annual Snowflake Appeal and supporting their efforts to raise vital funds for Sheffield Children’s. Sheffield Children’s is one of just three standalone specialist children’s hospitals in the UK, providing the best possible care for children all over Yorkshire, the UK and beyond. Charity support helps them to provide life changing care for children and families. Last year’s Snowflake Appeal raised over £377,000, in support of the National Centre for Child Health Technology, a pioneering research facility at the Olympic Legacy Park, that will be managed by the Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust.
Together with MTSP, Minster Law is committed to making a positive, lasting impact on the lives of children and families navigating the challenges of traumatic injury. This partnership represents an ongoing dedication to providing compassionate, holistic care to every injured child in need, now and in the future.
