“After my husbands motorbike accident in May 2010 he was left tetraplegic. We didn’t have a clue what to do, but then received a call from Minster Law. The service we received from that day onwards was outstanding, we couldn’t have asked for a better company or better solicitor to deal with my husband’s case.”

SUPPORTING YOU THROUGH YOUR SPINAL INJURY

Suffering from a spinal injury can have a lifelong impact on yourself, your family and your friends, causing financial and emotional distress. The severity of spinal injuries depends on a number of factors but can range from muscle damage to fractures, or spinal cord damage.

The more severe injuries can leave you unable to work, enjoy the hobbies you once had, and even live in your own home. These are complex cases that can take several years to settle, so we can look to help obtain interim payments to cover any immediate costs, fund a stay in a specialist rehabilitation centre, provide long-term support, or make any adaptions to your home.

Types of spinal injury:
  • Broken neck
  • Fractured neck
  • Broken vertebrae
  • Cervical vertebrae
  • Thoracic vertebrae
  • Lumbar vertebrae
  • Spinal cord injury
What are spinal cord injuries?

A spinal cord injury is a progressive disorder and a chronic condition, but the severity of a spinal cord injury depends on many factors.

  • Complete: where the damage sustained to the spinal cord impacts the entire width of the cord, resulting in complete loss of function, muscle sensation, or control.
  • Incomplete: where the damage does not cover the whole spinal cord and therefore leaves an element of function intact. This can result in one side of the body being impacted more than the other.

Living with the lifelong impacts of a spinal injury can be challenging but if the injury wasn’t your fault, Minster Law may be able to help you receive compensation.

We will act promptly to ensure the circumstances surrounding the accident are investigated quickly, so the cause of the accident is identified and those responsible are held accountable. We’re here to guide you and give you the right advice and help when you need it.
